Pollok Library
Pollok Library orgnises events and activities, has an extensive IT suite, runs courses, and, incidently, has a wide selection of books of all kinds for loan
New Books
To keep local residents uptodate with the changes to the library's stock, a list of new books will be published regularly here in the portal. For each new publication you will find a short summary of the story/contents and a picture of the book's cover picture. The books that appear in the New Books list will already be available for loan from Pollok Library. If the library doesn't have a copy yet/left then you can always reserve a copy via the library's online ordering system.
Coming Soon
A list of books that are expected to be published shortly will also be available here in the portal. Note that books on this list will not be available for loan or reservation until they appear in the New Books list.

Give the 'Civic Realm' a new name!
The site of the old Pollok Leisure Centre, Library and Health Centre is being redeveloped to refurbish and join up the existing buildings with a brand new structure. This has been called the 'Civic Realm' during the planning and construction phases but what do you the local residents want to call it?
In the Pollok Library and nearby community centres you can find boxes where you can post your suggestions. In the library there is even a detailed model of the new area.
You are invited to submit suggestions for a new name by filling in a card that you will find by the suggestion boxes.
Closing date for suggestions is 31st May.
